Our dialysis unit provides hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis for children who require special treatment for chronic kidney problems or kidney transplants. Led by USF Health pediatric nephrologists, ours is just one of three Children’s Medical Services (CMS)-sponsored comprehensive kidney failure centers in Florida.
Our patients can keep up with their schoolwork during dialysis thanks to teachers in the Cynthia Wells King School. Social workers and dietitians specializing in pediatrics also provide services for these patients.
