Welcome to the TGHIW Hackathon, a cornerstone of Innovation Week designed to ignite creativity and inspire change. This exciting event invites all TGH team members to tackle real-world challenges and contribute to transformative solutions across our organization, culminating in a competitive pitch event at the end of Innovation Week. Don’t worry, there are no sharks in this tank, just renowned TGH leaders at the forefront of innovation.
What is a Hackathon?
A hackathon is just a set period where people get together to create ideas and develop solutions to problems. You don’t need any special skills or knowledge – your own experience, ideas, and knowledge are what makes hackathons great!
How It Works
Participants can join as individuals or form teams of up to five members from now until Tuesday, August 27 by signing up here. After submissions are received on August 27, participants will be invited to participate in a virtual workshop to help them build out their initial ideas.
Our TGHIW Hackathon is a friendly competition focused on devising solutions and problem-solving in five critical areas.
- Standardization: Explore ways to streamline processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and care delivery.
- Care Coordination, Access, and Capacity: Develop strategies to improve care coordination and improve access and increase capacity across our health system.
- Equipment Life Cycle and Availability: Address challenges related to the availability of devices and equipment to ensure the delivery of timely and effective care.
- Communication: Improve communication across the system to ensure all team members have timely, relevant information.
- Resources: Explore innovative ways to find efficiencies in resources, including staffing, funding, physician space and other areas.
After developing solutions, teams will pitch them in an initial round to expert judges from across TGH. Top teams in each track will be selected to pitch at the final event on September 13.
