I started with the Tampa General Hospital team in 1978 as a graduate nurse in the CTICU, where I worked for about 10 years taking care of critical patients. Later in my nursing career, I expanded to Pre-Op/PACU to serve an additional 10 years in patient care. In 1999, I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in human resources and started my journey recruiting a variety of clinical roles. I have since obtained my master’s degree in HR management and have two HR certifications — the PHR and SHRM-CP, for which I am very proud. I also continue to keep my RN license. My biggest joy is matching the right nurse with the right position and then seeing them grow in their roles. TGH is such a great place to work and offers more support than any other local hospital. It is exciting to tell others about the great opportunities here.
On my off time I enjoy the beach, reading mysteries and improving my cooking skills. I also love to play with my dog, Gypsy, one ball of white fur.
