Wheelchair rugby is a cross between wheelchair basketball, hockey, and soccer. Played on a regulation size basketball court, four players compete on each side of the court. Each player is given points based on their abilities ranging from 0.5 (greatest impairment) to 3.5 (least impairment). No more than 8 classification points can be on each side at a time. Players pass a volleyball while advancing into the opponents half of the court, and score by crossing over the goal line with the volleyball in possession.
