Sled Hockey

Sled hockey is similar to able bodied hockey in terms of rules and overall concept. The main difference is that participants sit on a sled that is affixed to skates. Participants use two shortened hockey sticks with a blade on one end and a pick on the other which allows them to propel across the ice, similar to cross country skiing. Sled hockey requires great upper body strength, balance, and ability to handle the puck.
