Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is a quaternary referral center with a 32-bed Neuroscience ICU that treats a wide range of neurologically compromised patients, such as head trauma, aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke, vascular malformations, CNS infections, tumors, spinal cord injuries and seizure disorders. The TGH Neuroscience ICU is the largest on the West Coast of Florida and is staffed 24/7 by a dedicated Neuro-ICU provider team. Each specialist maintains a research and educational portfolio on a variety of topics, including ICU quality and process improvement, severe traumatic brain recovery, critical care monitoring, point-of-care ultrasound and intracranial hemorrhage. In addition to highly trained physician specialists, the Neuro-ICU at TGH is staffed with dedicated, neuroscience-trained advanced practice providers who have decades of combined experience.
