At Tampa General, we are committed to providing world-class care for all types of heart rhythm conditions, which goes well beyond diagnosis at treatment. To help meet any needs that may arise, we offer a comprehensive range of support services to patients throughout their care journey to recovery.
Our truly robust approach to cardiac electrophysiology includes cardiac rehabilitation, nutrition counseling, support groups and financial support services among other resources. Dedicated nurse navigators also interact closely with patients to assist them through the care process, answering any questions, providing support and addressing any concerns along the way.
Atrial Fibrillation Support Group
Tampa General Hospital's Electrophysiology Center of Excellence offers a support group for all patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) and their family members. Meetings will be held quarterly and will offer lectures from an electrophysiologist (a physician who specializes in the electrical system of the heart), a question & answer session, and an opportunity to meet others who have faced similar challenges with this condition.
The AF Support Group is open to all members of the TGH community, including those who receive their care outside the system. The AF support group is intended to be more than just a series of lectures, we continually adjust the meetings using responses from past attendees to ensure we address the needs of the AF community.
Upcoming dates for our support group will be posted soon.
