Tampa General Hospital Ranked No. 1 Hospital in Florida by Castle Connolly Accolades

The region’s only university-affiliated academic health system achieved leading statewide and national rankings across several institutes, service lines and physician practices.

Tampa, FL (April 15, 2025) – Tampa General Hospital (TGH) has earned the prestigious distinction of being ranked the number one hospital in Florida for having the most Top Doctor physicians, according to Castle Connolly Accolades. Castle Connolly Top Doctors are hand-selected by a physician-led team and are vetted through a rigorous nomination and research process, ensuring the physicians meet the organization’s standards. The selection process considers the physicians’ professional qualifications, education, hospital and faculty appointments, research leadership and professional reputation, as well as interpersonal skills such as listening and effective communication, demonstrating empathy, and instilling trust and confidence.
