Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologist Joins Muma Children’s Hospital and Tampa General Hospital’s Women’s Institute

Muma Children’s Hospital and TGH Women’s Institute grow services with the addition of a specialized pediatric and adolescent gynecologist.

 

 

Tampa, FL (Dec. 20, 2024) – Muma Children’s Hospital and Tampa General Hospital’s (TGH) Women’s Institute is strengthening its services for the community with the addition of Dr. Courtney Mascoe, a fellowship-trained specialist in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. Mascoe joins TGH and the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine as an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Gynecologic Sub-Specialties.

Mascoe will provide a wide range of services for young women in need of specialized gynecologic care. Mascoe is expertly trained in a broad spectrum of conditions, including vulvar dermatological complaints, abnormal periods, pubertal development, ovarian cysts, menstrual management for medically complex patients as well as reproductive tract anomalies. She also brings clinical experience focused on minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, reproductive endocrinopathies and fertility preservation.

Mascoe graduated from the University of Central Florida and received training as a medical resident in obstetrics and gynecology at Orlando Health Bayfront where she served as an academic chief and received multiple awards. She also pursued advanced training through a National Institutes of Health/Children’s National Hospital fellowship in pediatric and adolescent gynecology.

Mascoe has presented at local and national conferences and actively participates in professional organizations such as the Oncofertility Consortium, North American Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
