Muma Children’s Hospital and jewelry designer Kendra Scott work together with a special 10-year-old girl in a unique fundraiser to support young patients.

Tampa, FL (Dec. 4, 2024) –
Muma Children’s Hospital at Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is continuing the holiday tradition of partnering with jewelry designer Kendra Scott to raise funds for pediatric renovations. This year, a brave 10-year-old girl, Keetzally Baca, helped to design jewelry that will support patients like her.

As a baby, Keetzally was diagnosed with serious kidney problems. In 2022, after years of surgeries and treatment, she received a life-changing kidney transplant at TGH. Her mom says Keetzally still loves visiting with the nurses and team members and especially Belle, a pediatric facility dog.

Keetzally’s family recently visited the jewelry store’s Hyde Park Village location in Tampa to design personalized pendants as part of the Kendra Gives Back program. A special event from 5-7 p.m. on Dec. 4 kicks off the program, with 20% of purchases at the store at 1511 W Swann Ave. going to Muma Children’s Hospital. Shop the collection online here from Dec. 4-13 and use code GIVEBACK-HFOBA at kendrascott.com to support the hospital.

Keetzally’s Collection includes a pendant necklace ($75) and a bracelet ($60). The TGH Suite collection is also available and features cobalt cat’s eye stones in necklaces ($55) and bracelets ($45).

“We are proud to work with the Kendra Gives Back program once again to bring hope to and highlight patients like Keetzally and how far they have come in their medical journey thanks to the care at Muma Children’s Hospital,” said Melissa Golombek, vice president of Muma Children’s Hospital and the TGH Women’s Institute. “We are incredibly grateful to have our community come together during the holidays to support our pediatric patients in need of specialized medical care.”
