Tampa General Hospital Partners with Kendra Scott Jewelry to Raise Funds for the TGH Children’s Hospital

Tampa General will partner with Kendra Scott Jewelry from Nov. 28 to Dec. 7 and 20% of sales will be donated to support the TGH Children’s Hospital. 

 

Tampa, FL (Nov. 6, 2023) – Tampa General Hospital (TGH) has partnered with jewelry designer Kendra Scott to raise funds for the TGH Children’s Hospital. From Nov. 28 through Dec. 7, 20% of any in-store purchase will be donated to the TGH Children’s Hospital when Tampa General Hospital is mentioned during checkout. Purchases can also be made online with a specific code listed below.

 

As a part of this generous partnership, TGH Children's Hospital patient Tamryn Lee and her family spent a morning recently in the Kendra Scott shop in Hyde Park Village in Tampa to design a bracelet and a necklace.

 

Tamryn’s  Story

At age 6 Tamryn Lee was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, and began to receive treatment at TGH Children’s Hospital. Over the past 10 months, Tamryn has braved 29 weeks in the hospital to receive high-dose chemotherapy to help treat her condition. During these many treatments, Tamryn and her family truly became a part of the TGH family.

 

“The pediatric hematology/oncology providers, 5E (pediatric) nurses, and staff all treated us like family and have gone above and beyond in taking care of Tam during her most vulnerable moments,” said Ashanda Lee, Tamryn’s mom, who has been a Tampa General nurse for 15 years. Tamryn’s grandmother Yvonne Johnson, now retired, also dedicated 37 years of nursing to the academic health system.

 

Tamryn’s parents are so thankful for the care their daughter received. And they appreciate the opportunity for their daughter to be honored with designing her own special jewelry pieces called the “Tam Collection” at Kendra Scott in Hyde Park Village.

 

The “Tam Collection” includes the Emilie Stretch Bracelet in rose gold with a single earth-tone  Spice Drusy stone for $45 and the Emilie Three-Stone Strand necklace in rose gold. The three stones are a Rose Gold Drusy, a White Kyocera Opal and a Steel Gray Drusy for $105. When asked how she made her design decisions, Tamryn said, “I selected my stones for each member of my family.” All prices listed do not include tax.
