Tampa, FL (January 6, 2021) – Tampa General Hospital’s Security program is receiving national recognition in the 14th edition of Security Magazine’s Security 500 annual report. The report announced in December that Tampa General Hospital’s security team was ranked number one in the Tampa Bay area, and 30th in the Healthcare sector nationally. 2020 marks the second year in a row that Tampa General ranked in the top 30 security programs in the healthcare industry. Last year, the Security 500 ranking identified Tampa General’s security program as one of the top 500 in the world.
“Our team is comprised of professionals, many of whom are former law enforcement officers or military-trained,” according to Tony Venezia, director of Security, Emergency Management, and Parking Services. “We believe in investing in our team and offering all the tools to be successful to keep our team members and patients safe,” he added.
