About Stacey Brandt
Stacey Brandt is the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Tampa General Hospital, a nationally renowned nonprofit academic health system.
Brandt is responsible for the development and execution of the strategy, market planning and growth, marketing, public relations, physician business development, health care transformation, process engineering, external affairs, and project and program management for the enterprise’s 17 institutes and service lines across six acute care hospitals and more than 150 care locations in Florida. She led the development of – and now is responsible for - the health system’s 19 service lines and institutes.
In this capacity, Brandt served as the architect of Tampa General’s five-year strategic plan, driving the planning process and partnering with the academic health system’s senior leadership team, board of directors and other stakeholders to oversee its successful governance and execution. Under her leadership, the organization’s patient volume increased substantially, and market share grew from 19 percent to 24 percent, surpassing competitors to become the consistent market leader in just five years.
A veteran of the health care industry, Brandt brings over 20 years of health care strategy, business development, marketing and communications expertise to her role at Tampa General. Before joining Tampa General in 2017, Brandt spent 17 years in hospital administration at Jupiter Medical Center before serving as vice president of marketing and strategic planning.
As a recognized industry leader, Brandt frequently serves as an expert source and contributor for national media outlets, including Becker’s Hospital Review and has been invited to speak at industry conferences, including the Becker’s Annual Meeting and the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (SHSMD) Connections Annual Conference.
In 2024, Brandt was included in Modern Healthcare’s 2024 class of Women Leaders, a distinction which annually honors influential women from all sectors of the health care industry who are making significant contributions to their organizations by developing policy, leading change and guiding improvements in care delivery.
In 2023, Brandt was recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review on their lists of “60 Hospital and Health System Chief Marketing Officers to Know” and “65 Health System Chief Strategy Officers to Know,” one of the few health system leaders in the state of Florida – and the only leader in the West Central Florida region – to earn these distinctions.
In 2020, Brandt was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie Award in the “Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – COVID-19-related Information.” In addition, she was recognized for her exemplary communications work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Under her leadership, Tampa General became a model for other healthcare systems across the country for her transparent communications strategies for managing COVID-19 communications for TGH’s team members, physicians, volunteers, patients, and the community.
Brandt spearheaded media relations efforts and marketing strategies to leverage Tampa General’s leadership and expertise throughout the pandemic, including coverage spanning across multiple local and national media platforms, including USA Today, Journal of Healthcare Management, CNN, The Associated Press and The Washington Post.
In 2019, and under Brandt’s leadership, Tampa General Hospital received the prestigious AMA Tampa Bay Marketing 2019 Hall of Fame Award, recognizing her team's work on a bold marketing campaign to differentiate TGH from other hospitals and health systems. That same year, her team was recognized as “PR Team of the Year” for 2019 by Ragan Communications and PR Daily, a national leader in training for professionals in corporate communications, public relations, social media and management.
In service of her community, Brandt is a current member of the Board of Managers of TGH Crystal River, the Tampa General Provider Network, the Tampa General Ambulatory Network, and MORE Health.
Brandt is a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. She received her master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Florida, and her bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications with a minor in business administration and management.
