About Abraham Schwarzberg, MD
Abraham B. Schwarzberg, MD is the Executive Vice President, Chief of Oncology and President of the Tampa General Provider Network (TGPN) at Tampa General Hospital (TGH), a nationally renowned nonprofit academic health system.
Schwarzberg brings over 17 years of experience to his role. Prior to joining TGH, Schwarzberg was a member of the clinical staff at Jupiter Medical Center (JMC) from 2009 until 2014, when he was promoted to vice president and chief of oncology. In addition to his current role at TGH, Schwarzberg serves as president and managing member of the Cancer Center of South Florida, which he founded in 2008.
Schwarzberg is an associate member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, an advisory board member for the Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation in West Palm Beach, Fla., and a board member for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Palm Beach, Fla. He was recognized by both Tufts University and Harvard Medical School in 2003 and 2004 for their Excellence in Teaching Awards.
