The TGH Heart & Vascular Institute invites you to join us for a lecture entitled “Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery – Small Incisions Big Difference," with Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Dr. Rodrigo de Souza. He joins us from the University of California, San Francisco, where he served as Associate Professor of Surgery for his skills in minimally invasive cardiac surgery. Prior to that, he completed his medical and surgical training in Brazil at the Universidade Gama Filho, Medical School, his residency at Hospital Municipal Cardoso Fontes, and his fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at Clinics Hospital Federal University of Parana. He has also led a heart transplant program that cared for many patients with Chagas disease.

With 14 years in practice, Dr. de Souza's passion for minimally invasive surgery has led him to become one of most experienced surgeons in this field. He has given multiple lectures in the U.S. and abroad, and has directed several minimally invasive cardiac surgery training courses.
