Tampa General Hospital’s Division of Advanced Practice offers a primary care fellowship, a 12-month postgraduate program for nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are interested in working in the primary care field.
Eligibility & What to Expect
All applicants must be licensed and board certified as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. Primary Care APP fellows can expect to have:
- Primary care and specialty care rotations
- Didactic time one day per week
- Potential employment opportunities in both the inpatient and outpatient settings within the TGH / TGMG system following fellowship completion
Application and Interview Selection Timeline
Interested candidates should apply to our primary care fellowship program for advanced practice providers starting in October.
- October – Application opens
- November – Interviews
- December – Final selection and acceptance
- January-April – Clearance and medical staff credentialing
- April – APP fellowship starts
