We even have portable and mobile technology for multiple specialties. Plus, our digital imaging capabilities, including advanced cardiac MRI imaging, make us a regional referral center for highly specialized imaging studies. When factoring in all of our different imaging capabilities, our radiologists, technologists, and nursing personnel perform more than 400,000 exams per year.

Our diagnostic imaging services include:

  • X-rays
  • Ultrasound-guided biopsies
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, including advanced cardiac MRIs
  • Computed tomography (CT) scans
  • Mammograms
  • Obstetric/gynecological ultrasounds
  • Bone densitometry scans
  • Fluoroscopy tests

Our extensive diagnostic radiology imaging abilities can be used to diagnose a variety of medical conditions, and they can also be used to provide visual guidance during certain minimally invasive treatments. For example, our experienced interventional radiologists can perform prostatic artery embolization (PAE) and uterine fibroid embolization, as well as treatments for cancer and vascular aneurysms, using digital imaging to guide their movements. Using CT and ultrasound imaging, we can also perform organ biopsies with very low complication rates.

Patient Safety

TGH’s Imaging Department always makes patient safety a top priority. As such, we carefully follow all protocols necessary to maintain the lowest effective dose of radiation exposure throughout imaging sessions and treatments. For these and other reasons, TGH has earned a spot on Newsweek's World's Best Hospitals 2023 list. Based on certain performance indicators, patient satisfaction scores, and peer recommendations, this world-class ranking is evidence of our commitment to ensuring our patients receive world-class care.

Imaging Accreditations

TGH is recognized with accreditation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computer tomography (CT) by the American College of Radiology. The ACR gold seal of accreditation for MRI and CT represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety.
